Gavin had a doctor appt on Tuesday and got his next round of shots. He was pretty good about it and only cried for a minute. But then he whimpered and fussed all afternoon. I think I walked 2 miles around my house holding and jiggling him because he would not let me put him down. (thanks heavens for my wrap!) He was so exhausted that he went to bed at 8:00pm and slept until 6:30 the next morning. And no, I did not go to bed early like I should have.
Okay mom, here are the stats that you've so patiently waited for:
Gavin weighs 14 lbs 12 oz and measured 26" long. He's in the 30th percentile for weight and 70th percentile for height. So he's on the long and lean side of things. {Gavin's friend Thomas who is 2 months younger than him weighs 15 lbs. if that helps put things into perspective.}
Our doc recommended getting a bumbo and so after the appt we ran over to BRU (I absolutely love our location... so close to everything) and snagged a fatty Blue Bumbo. Which Gavin LoVes!
(you can see Gavin's hair has been growing and it's coming in a lot darker.)
And we got the green light for solids, so Gavin has been introduced to the world of bibs. He thoroughly enjoys this new "toy". He can pull it, chew on it, and cover his face with it.
Saturday night, Davis and I decided to take a walk with Gavin for a mini date. Gavin didn't like this idea, as you can see, from his oh-so-happy face. Needless to say, we didn't make it out of the cul-de-sac. (but isn't his new hat super cute?!)
On Monday, Charisse and Coulter came over to hang out and scrapbook. Here's a cute mommy and son photo.
Coulter wasn't as scared of Gavin this time and he played very nicely with him. (last time Coulter didn't like Gavin's "wet hands and how small he was.")
This last photo isn't the best, but I love how Gavin is looking up at me. (okay, so he was probably looking at the ceiling or something...)
PS Angie, I am working on the photo tour you requested. I'm going to clean the house this weekend and snap some pics. BUT you have to do it too. I want to see your new house!!

OH :( sad... shots, not looking forward to those. You are adorable!!! I love seeing updates of you guys and Gavin (he is sooooo cute) Yeah... I can't wait to see pics of your house too!! :)
AT least it's progress for C-man! His hat rocks...I love those hats on babies. Do you think Sterling would wear one if I got it? :)

Linda, not at all!! Ha ha ha! If it made me uncomfortable at ALL I wouldn't have answered it. Honestly, it's a choice we made and eventually resolved, and I don't worry about it anymore. I do wonder every once in a while if other people judge me for it, but then I realize that it's a natural consequence of the choices I made and there's nothing I can do about it! :) Please don't feel bad!!
Hey! It's been a while! He is so stinking cute! I love the last picture, because he is totally looking at you with such adoration. It looks like you guys are doing well, and that you'll never want for toothpaste EVER in your life. :)
