Monday is laundry day at our house and this week I didn't get it done until that evening. So when I went to put Gavin's PJ's on after his bath, I couldn't find any. They were still in the dryer. So I went down I grabbed some and gavin was reaching for the basket, so I decided to let him ride in the laundry basket up the stairs. He loved it! These pictures are fun because you can see how big he is getting. I used to put him on top of my laundry as a tiny baby and he fit so easily. Now he fills up the entire basket and then some!!
Here's Gavin in his chair that I redid. It turned out really cute. I posted pictures on my craft blog.
One last story, I was making cupcakes for a friend's birthday and Gavin was being fussing and high maintenance at the time. So I had to hold him while I was putting all the ingredients together. (amazing what you can do with only one hand!) Well, I had a bowl of flour, salt, and baking powder set aside like the recipe called for. And when I turned slightly to grab something, Gavin leaned over and grabbed my bowl of flour and dumped it all over. Including in the partially open drawer right below it! Little Stinker! I would have taken a picture, but he was grumpy and I was trying to get the cupcakes done. So I did not get a picture of Gavin's first flour mess. Somehow I think there will be plenty of other flour messes I can get pictures of....:)
We recently found out one of the trees right in front of our house (like 10 feet away) had root rot. Which means, it could fall over any moment. So we had to get it chopped down asap (we chopped it down on sat). I honestly was kind of sad to see it get chopped down. Growing up in Utah, trees are rare and hard to grow. (I know it's different here in VA, they're considered weeds) But it was interesting to see how they cut it down. They climbed up it and cut branches off and then hunks of the top until it was about 30 feet high and then they dropped the trunk. It was quite the show! It shook the whole house when it fell.
Well, sorry for all the words and few pics. I just wanted to be sure and record these stories as this is a family journal. kinda.

So cute!!! I love the pictures! Gavin is so adorable...so handsome :) HAHA Flour is aweful to clean up, I bet that was fun ;) And yea, I know what you mean about having to do things with just one hand. I tell you what, it is incredible what you can do with just one... but, it takes FOREVER to get stuff done now! So fun, I love reading the stories~ just as important as the pictures!
If my laundry came out that cute- I just might keep up with it! hahaha! I love the pictures. And I love the stories (especially the one with the flour) This week we have dumped out jam, a box of cereal, and Joel thinks its funny to dump his cup of water on the floor! I laughed and can commiserate! Good luck!
That is one handsome chunk of boy you have there!! Love it!
