just like papa

I swear, Gavin has become Mr. Photogenic lately. He smiles on cue for pictures now and asks me to take pictures of him with my phone so he can look at them. AND he's got some awesome expressions!!
Gavin had to try on Davis's new sunglasses.
{For our anniversary, Davis and I went shopping for new sunglasses for each of us. We had fun walking around trying on all kinds of shades. From Chanel to Oakley to Gap. We tried on $5 shades all the way up to $300 shades for fun. We ended up buying cheap reasonably priced ones at Gap. haha}
Ok, is that not the most AWESOME picture ever?!! I am so glad I caught that one raised eyebrow on camera! lol I am about to give Davis and Gavin haircuts and Gavin is giving me the, "You're going to do what with these clippers?" look. priceless. I'm thinking Gavin has something in common with his Great Grandma Joy....
Here's my guys after a fresh haircut. Look how big Gavin's eyes are.
And of course, we have to take the classic "papa's shoes" picture. Gavin knows whose shoes are whose and can pair them with their match. He loves going through our closet and trying on shoes.

  • Gavin can sing his ABC's all the way up to G and count to 4 now.
  • He loves learning new words and is putting short sentences together.
  • Still a picky eater.
  • Loves to talk to papa on the phone. Tells him Hi, Love You, Miss You, Hurry Home, and Bye Bye.
  • He's really into climbing lately. The little dare devil.
  • Knows about 10 body parts, 6 colors, and can identify big and little objects.
All of us are sick right now. Which is no fun. Flu season started early at our house. Other than that, not much new here. Hope all of you are doing well!!

I SO love that hair cutting picture! I love your blog actually--- cute pictures, fun stories and that font?!?! How did you do that? Super cute! I do have to tell you that your craft blog inspired me yesterday. I felt crafty and maybe too confident and I decided I would crochet some hats for my kids' halloween costumes. They are going to be Alvin, Simon and Theodore- like the chipmunks. I pulled if off! I successfully made one chipmunk hat with ears and a patch of hair on the top. Two more to go and some sweatshirts, and a pair of glasses and we will be good to go! Thanks for inspiring me, it really challenged me and I am so glad it did! You are awesome Linda!!!!!

Enjoy the photogenic time now! We have to trick Joel into looking at the camera by telling him to look at the truck behind mamma! I think he is starting to catch on!!!! I loved the pictures and Gavin is growing up soooo big! I hope you all feel better before that baby comes! I am excited for you guys! Good luck!
