But then I also have to note the acts of kindness strangers have done for me because I am pregnant. It has really touched my heart the sweet things they have done for me. Even if it is a kind word or a smile, when you're feeling completely ugly and fat, it makes you feel so much better! So I guess I would have to say, pregnancy brings out the best and worst in people. It's easy to remember the rude questions and comments, but it's the kindness I should remember.
On Saturday, a couple girls from our ward took me to do my baby registry. It was super fun! They told me what brands to get, what items were essential, and what items were a complete waste. It was so nice to get some good advice on the millions of baby items that overwhelm us expecting mothers when we walk into baby stores. I have felt so overwhelmed in getting prepared for a baby. I know so little! Their help made me feel so much better and I now feel like I have a good idea of what I need. Plus it was really fun shopping with them! Of course we had to buy a few things along the way!!
Enough about me. Davis has been seeing a lot of patients. He has even done his first root canal and got a perfect score on it! He is hoping to start his first crown soon. Davis loves dentistry and he gets so excited to tell me about what he did each day. My knowledge of dentistry is really coming in handy now.
Davis has a cold and has been hacking day and night. I sure hope he gets feeling better soon!

How's this for honesty, I could kick your butt in tennis but I didn't want to seem like a bully picking on a girl...ha!
I can't believe a complete stranger asked if she could babysit? That is so crazy. I'd say, we'll you don't want to know what I would say. I am glad that you're doing well!
You know, even if you did know a lot about children, being a first time mother is quite the experience. There are things that people don't tell you will happen, and when they do, you might feel helpless...case in point...when Calvin got his first cold. I was terrified. I had no idea that it would be that bad. I did everything the books, doctors and internet said, yet he still had to suffer through the sickness. I was so sad because I felt like I wasn't do enough, when in reality I did everything I could do for him. It is definately worth it, but no one is ever really prepared. May I suggest a book for you to read? Baby Wise. i actually haven't read it yet, but I have friends who have taught me the techniques and it is very amazing. Thanks for sharing the fun pictures! Your belly is totally cute!
You're looking great! That's so nice of those girls to go with you to do your registry. There is definitely too many things to choose from! And I hope Davis feels better. Matt has the same thing. All the students must be sharing it with each other. yuck...
I second the comment on "Babywise." It worked so good for us. Also one our favorite things is our video monitor. If you get one you'll know what I mean. Glad things are going good for you guys.
Linda, you are BEAUTIFUL!!!! There is no ugly or fat bone in your body :) Sounds like you are having fun and DAvis is keeping busy! Congrats on his first root canal...so who gives the score, the patient or the teacher???
Fortunately for Davis, the faculty does the grading!
