Yesterday I went for another ultrasound. Davis wasn't able to come due to classes. :( I knew something wasn't right from the way the ultrasound tech acted. She was very quiet and didn't say much about the baby and wouldn't let me look at the screen until the end. After a long wait in the waiting room, I went back to see Dr. Chakavorty (the Dr. I'm seeing while Dr. Pringle is on maternity leave). She said that the baby's waist is measuring significantly small. His head and other measurements were fine, but she was concerned about the size of his waist. (He weighs 4 lbs 3 oz right now) She said I would need to have another ultrasound next week with a Perinatologist (sp?). She gave me the disclaimer that it could just be his position, but never told me what else it could be. My mind was reeling and I just didn't know what to think. All I got was something about when you lose weight, you don't just lose it in one area, but rather all over. I don't know!! It was the worst appointment ever and I was all by myself with a new doctor with bad news! So that's the update and here's the cute pics of him. He was really cute and rubbing his eye and yawning. So that was fun to see. So next thursday, I'll have more pictures of him and hopefully better news.Thursday, October 23

Oh Linda, I can only imagine how you guys are feeling, I hope everything is okay and you can have some peace while you endure the wait. Sorry I couldn't make it to the shower, we had already lined up babysitters to go to the temple. I have a gift for you, I just need Nate to remember to grab it on his way to school....
I am so sorry you were all alone during an appointment like that! I have to see a perinatoligist too. They found an antibody in my blood that causes them to have to keep a closer eye on the baby. It's not fun getting any sort of news like that that sends your nerves haywire. I'm sure everything will be okay and it was just his position or something.
Just being pregnant is enough stress without adding extra things to worry about. I'm sure everything will be okay!
