Birthdays

I celebrated my 25th birthday on Saturday. ugh! I feel so old! I decided for my birthday I wanted to finish painting our living room. (I had painted one wall a rich brown for a dramatic affect, but I decided it would be cool if the whole room was brown instead.) So we woke up and painted. Davis was not exactly happy about painting yet again because we have already painted our entire house once, including trim. But he was a good sport and we had fun painting. Gavin took 2 long naps that day so we got it done fairly quickly. Since everything was off the walls, I decided to redecorate again. (Yes....again. Poor Davis, his home is never the same from one day to the next!) I'm not done redecorating, but here's what it looks like right now.
On the birthday note, Gavin is celebrating his 3 month birthday today. I swear he gets bigger by the day! He is a happy baby and is so fun to cuddle and play with. He can track 180 degrees, push his chest off the floor, stand up with support, laugh out loud, smile, and occasionally hold onto a rattle. Gavin weighs 12 pounds now and wears 0-3 month size clothes.

A couple weekends ago, when the weather was nice, we decided to have a picnic on our deck so that we could enjoy the sunshine. We pulled out the card table and Davis grilled up some steaks.

If you look closely, you can see that Gavin is holding onto his rattle.

This photo is looking down through the peep hole on our jog stoller. Gavin usually falls asleep in the jog stroller, but he was fussing and so we looked down to see what was going on and found the cutie looking straight up at us, eyes wide open. He looks like he's in a fish bowl.
