First Tooth

Gavin had his first tooth break through yesterday! We had been feeling something hard for a couple weeks and knew it just was a matter of time before it popped through. It's a sharp little thing! Davis couldn't remember which letter it was (kids teeth are assigned letters, not numbers like adults) that was coming in. Later when we were making dinner, Davis randomly turns to me and says, "Gavin has P coming in." huh?!

Gavin's hair is getting quite long and so cute! We love spiking it into a faux hawk. (just like Coulter's)

Always such a curious little guy.

For the 4th of July, the Thomas's invited us over for a BBQ and to see their cUtE new puppy, Max. He was so adorable and sweet. Gavin was fascinated seeing something smaller than him. He actually liked this dog, whereas he didn't like Velvet, Nole's seeing eye dog. He screamed histarically when she ran towards us. This is Max:

Gavin has finally decided it's fun to roll onto his tummy and explore things. He's started pushing up on his arms a little, but he's not real motivated to stay on his tummy very long to make much progress. (note the lovely spit up on his chin)

Gavin recently found another fun toy to suck on... his toes. I thought his legs were too long for him to be able to do this, but he figured it out. (you can see his exema (sp?) on his cheek. He has it on his tummy too.)

Some of Gavin's favorite things right now are drinking from a real cup, chewing on the phone, remote, or anything else he can get his little hands on, jumping, and standing while holding onto a chair. He's almost mastered sitting up all by himself. Gavin now loves to eat and gobbles up almost anything we put in front of him and loves his sippy cup. He is getting good at carrying on a conversation with us (he just makes silly sounds) and scooting on his back. And last night, he slept the full 12 hours- 8:15pm to 8:15am. yay!
