playing outside

Gavin has discovered his love for being outside.
He loves spending hours on our deck inspecting twigs, leaves, and pine needles...and then dropping them off the side of the deck and watching them fall. (our deck is in serious need of a paint job after all the snow this winter!!)
Gavin is holding a leaf in this pic and watching it float in the wind.

The weather is getting warmer {yay!} and a couple days ago, we met Gavin's friends Adam and Tommy at the park for a playdate.
Adam had cool sunglasses.
Gavin had fun pointing at everything. That's his new thing to point at everything. Now I have the fun job of teaching him not to point at people....
And Tommy wore his shoes for the first time. Way to go Tommy! His stylin plaid shoes were awesome.
I brought my camera, so I had fun taking pics of the little guys.

All three had fun taking turns steering the pirate ship wheel.
There were holes in the ship and Gavin had fun looking out of them.
Adam kept coming up to me saying "cheese" and loved seeing the pictures I took of him on my preview screen. This pic is SO Adam, at least to me. We'll see what Carina thinks.
I guess he didn't want me to take the pic when he said "cheese" this time. oops. Funny though, huh!
aww, mommy and son. I just realized I forgot to take a pic of Liz and Tommy. darn.

I thought these were funny.
Gavin loves pulling on earrings. It hurts. Charisse has ears of steel and doesn't mind Gavin tugging on her earrings. Me on the other hand, it hurts like crazy!! This was during a photo shoot for my craft blog.
Gavin loves being held a lot still. This is him saying, "up" and asking to be held.

Anyways, as far as Gavin's stomach and not eating, etc, we went to the hospital for the x-rays of his stomach, which was a nightmare. 2 1/2 hours in the waiting room with a hungry, tired little man and nurses poking him in both arms to draw 3 viles of blood was not my idea of fun. But the x-rays were all normal. We have not heard about the blood work yet. But the good news is, we stopped Gavin's reflux meds and the next day, ate like a champ and has been a lot better eater ever since. My theory on this is the medicine tastes metallicy and so I'm thinking it made everything taste funny to Gavin and so he didn't like to eat. Because he'll eat all his favs again.

Davis has had lots of rotations lately. I don't like having him gone. Can't wait till they're done. Spring Break is next week. yay! Wish we had something fun planned, but Davis has a couple interviews and other things planned, so I don't know if we'll get to do anything.

Hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully you'll enjoy all the pics! I've been meaning to upload some fun videos. Maybe I'll do it this afternoon. We'll see if I have time.

So glad to hear that Gavin is feeling better! YEAH!! Sounds like you guys had fun at the park. It's so fun to watch them grow and develop, isn't it? Learning new things and becoming their own little person! :)

I'm so glad Gavin is feeling so much better. I think you are totally right about the medicine. We had fun at the park with you guys the other day and the pictures you took of the boys were really cute. I on the other hand look absolutley dreadful. Lol, can you delete that picture?

WOW! It's been forever since I looked at your blog, and I'm regretting it, because your little guy has grown up SO MUCH!! It doesn't seem possible! He is so very handsome. I know how you feel about your man being gone on rotations. I feel for you. It's tough, right? Can't wait to find out how interviews go! We'll be headed to St. John's hospital in Madison Heights, mi for Cory's internship year. :) We move in like a month! Crazy!!!
