Davis's Birthday

On his birthday, Davis volunteered at a free dental clinic in the morning. When he got home, I had Chocolate Chocolate Pancakes waiting for him with strawberry syrup, whip cream, and OJ. (if you want the pancake recipe, I posted it on my craft blog) 

 

I also made him a birthday cake. Davis wanted all the candles in the middle and so there was basically a bonfire on top of the cake! After Gav man went to bed, we watched a movie.

I thought this face was funny! I think Gavin wanted to play with the camera when Davis snapped this pic.

 

Gavin can walk across the room now and all over the place. And a very busy boy now. Gavin's favorite thing to do now is "read" books which consists of pulling a book off the shelf, sitting on my lap, look at the pictures for about 5 seconds, then go get another book. Until the shelf is empty. Then we start over. There's a select few that we make it through twice before he gets bored with it. 

 

Gavin loves to sit up and play in his crib now when he's supposed to be sleeping. And the past month or so, Gavin has gotten really attached to his Froggy (in the back left corner of his crib.) Froggy has to be in the same room with Gavin or we have to search him down before we can play. Froggy is his lovie to help him sleep and was supposed to stay only in the crib. Well, not so much anymore! He travels all over the house with Gavin.
