our baby is now a little boy

Sorry I've been such a slacker on this blog lately. But I have semi big news....My other blog has really taken off. And thus keeps me really busy now. there's a lot of behind-the-scenes, administrative stuff I have to do. So to try and keep up with it all, I quit my job at the scrapbook store. My last day is Tues. Feb. 9. A little sad to leave, but I can use the extra 10 hours a week for my blog and spending time with my family. It was nice having a job to get out of the house and away from mommy life for a few hours, but I'm finding that my blog now does that for me. 

Anyways, on to bigger and better stuff.

 

Little man's hair was getting long, so he got his 2nd hair cut. (you can see his new haircut on some of the last pics on this post)

  

He is VERY attached to his lovey, Froggy. Froggy goes everywhere and does everything with Gavin. Including eating food....

Speaking of food, Gavin has become a handful at meal time and refuses to eat more than a couple bites. Half the time he'll spit out his food, that is if you're lucky enough to get him to open his mouth!! He's very picky now. He used to eat everything. He now refuses past favorites like sweet potatoes and stuffing. Such a little stinker! He has been sick lately and I think he's got several more teeth coming in, so maybe that's why he's not eating very well.

And he's way to busy to eat. He has to have something to distract him in order to eat. I literally was juggling oranges yesterday to get him to eat!

  

Loves to read. Especially flap and pop up books. He also knows what sounds the horse, duck, cat, puppy, sheep, cow, and bird make. We have a cute video of him saying them. I'll post it soon. hopefully.

  

These are pics from our snow weekend last weekend. Gavin didn't really like the snow. I thought he'd like to play in it. This weekend has also turned into a snow weekend. Too much snow!

  

  

 

Papa and Gavin made a snow angel together. ok, so Davis made it, Gavin just sat on top.

  

Gavin loves cars! He says vroom and plays with them. (you can kind of see his haircut)

  

He stole my lens cap and thought it was fun on his head.

  

Here's my stylin little man. Hair cut and all. We got his striped polo for $1 at kid to kid. Love their free $5 coupons!

  

This is what I see all day long as I chase the little stinker around. He practically runs everywhere now. Bus busy boy!! Still so fun watching him walk.

  

Gavin has learned what balls are and now thinks every round object is a ball. Including this orange which he has toted around for 2 days now calling it his "ball". Oh and we went to the grocery store yesterday and Gavin went nuts in the produce section pointing to all the "balls" (apples, orange, tomatoes, etc) and loudly pointed at them all saying "ball, ball, ball." So cute!

Gavin is so much fun! He has learned so much lately. It's fun teaching him new things like giving us high 5 and how objects work.

Davis has been doing more interviews. He had an interview yesterday that went well. He was pretty excited about the opportunity, but we'll see if things work out. All the dentists are so wishy washy right now. It's driving us crazy! Oh and Davis took his last written boards on Thursday. Yay! Now all he has left is clinical boards. Can't believe the end is in sight.
